Featherstone Rovers have signed Hunslet Hawks winger James Duckworth on loan until the end of the season – with Kyran Johnson and Jack Coventry moving the other way for the same period.
Ex-England Academy international Duckworth, 22, began his professional career in Super League at Leeds Rhinos and also had a spell at London Broncos before moving to South Leeds Stadium.
He is set to make his Rovers debut against visiting Whitehaven on Sunday and head coach Jon Sharp said: “James will be a useful addition to the squad with his physical attributes and Super League experience.
“He has power, size and pace and hopefully we can use these attributes as we look to develop the squad.”
Elsewhere, England wing Joe Burgess will return to Wigan next season after being granted an early release from a three-year contract with Sydney Roosters.
Burgess scored 52 tries in 58 appearances in his first spell with the Warriors.
