Ex-Bull Morrison wants Rams to continue good run against old side

Rams had some success against Bulls last season and are on a high after breaking their duck for the year with a 36-8 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup win over Newcastle Thunder eight days ago.

They have yet to get off the mark in the league, but coach Glenn Morrison, who is an ex-Bradford player, insisted: “There is more confidence about the place after last week.”

He said: “We’ve not been too far off, but if you are not coming up with results it does get you down a bit.

“There’s a buzz around the place now and, hopefully, we can take it to Odsal and put up a good show.

“We beat them at home and away last year and had some good games against them.

“There’s a lot of players who have played at both clubs and it is always good to play them.”

Bulls have won three of their six fixtures so far, but are bottom of the table because of their pre-season points deduction.

That makes it a key game in the battle to avoid relegation and Morrison admitted: “We need to pick up some league points now.

“This is a four-point game and it means a lot to both teams. We want to get up and running.

“We’ve done our homework and I’m sure we can go into it with some confidence and get the job done.”
