DEWSBURY RAMS coach Warren Jowitt is hoping to add an experienced player to his squad in time for Sunday’s Co-op Championship trip to leaders Leigh Centurions.

And he is also looking to bring in two dual-registration signings from Leeds Rhinos’ Under-20s side, though it is unlikely either will feature this week.

“I have got a few things in the pipeline,” Jowitt, inset, revealed. “I am hoping someone will be joining us in time for Sunday – and I am also talking to Leeds, so hopefully we’ll get a couple from there.”

Rams will travel to Leigh without back-rower Rob Spicer, who suffered a broken leg in last Friday’s defeat at Sheffield Eagles.

Josh Tonks has recovered from a rib cartilage injury and is likely to take over. James Craven is back in contention after shaking off knee and ankle ligament injuries and Michael Wainwright could be in line for a recall.

Sunday’s game is the first part of a double-header, with Rams heading back to Leigh a week later for a Northern Rail Cup semi-final.
