DEWSBURY Rams boss Warren Jowitt is already packing his bags ahead of next week’s Northern Rail Cup quarter-final draw.

Luckless Rams had to travel to Toulouse, who they will also visit in the Co-op Championship, in the NRC group stage and drew the short straw in the Carnegie Challenge Cup third round – a trip to South Wales Scorpions.

Rams will travel to south Wales tomorrow with an overnight stay before Sunday’s game and Jowitt admitted it isn’t the ideal tie.

“We’ve been unfortunate with travel this year,” he said. “I just know we are going to draw Toulouse away in the Northern Rail quarter-finals.”

Dewsbury will be close to full-strength, with only long-term casualty Pat Walker on the injured list.

Adam Hayes and Johnny Horton have been drafted into this weekend’s squad. Horton also plays for Leeds Met University, who are away to Sheffield Eagles in a Challenge Cup third round tie on Sunday, but Jowitt said he has first call on the player.
