Walshaw played in Rams’ opening 20-18 win over Sheffield Eagles last Friday, but was later diagnosed with a suspected broken wrist.

“He did it in the first 10 minutes and played just about the full game,” said Rams coach Neil Kelly.

Michael Knowles (knee) will also be assessed by Rams’ medical staff.

Reflecting on his side’s first competitive game of the year, Kelly said: “It was great to get a win under our belt.

“I felt overall we were the better side, but I think the scoreline reflected by how much.

“We were totally dominant in the first half and defended really, really well, but we flirted with disaster in the second half with some poor discipline and poor first-up contacts in the tackle.”

But Kelly insisted: “Overall, there were more positives. We looked good on attack and there were some great individual performances. Jode Sheriffe and Jack Teanby led from the start and the three-quarter line all did very well – there were some special efforts from both wingers.”

Jared Simpson and Matty English, both on loan from Huddersfield Giants, could make their debut this weekend.
