Dewsbury Rams: Injury concerns mounting for Morrison

Hale was a late withdrawal from the Rams side beaten by London Broncos last weekend.

And the Dewsbury pack man could miss Friday’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup fourth-round derby at home to Bradford Bulls.

“It’s the shoulder he had operated on in the off-season. It has flared up again,” Morrison revealed.

“He is going to have to go back to see the specialist.

“He has been man of the match in both games he has played this season, so he’s a big loss for us.”

Props Tony Tonks and Ryan Hepworth both missed the trip to London due to knee problems and Andy Kain failed a fitness test.

“He has had a fractured hand, but played with that,” Morrison said.

“But he has also hurt his knee and ankle and he was another big loss.

“I think if we’d had him playing in the last two games against Featherstone and London we would have won both of them.

“We haven’t had a settled half-back pairing, but once we do we will go well.”

Ben Reynolds, who had been featuring at scrum-half for Rams, has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Leigh Centurions.
