Conference RL: Oulton Raiders get jump on East Leeds with late winner

OULTON RAIDERS leapfrogged hosts East Leeds into top spot in National Conference Division Two thanks to Josh Murray’s late try.

That – and Tom Egan’s third goal – sealed a 26-22 win, moments after Luke Tomlinson’s second try and Tom Sheldrake’s third conversion had edged Easts 22-20 ahead. Dominic Flanagan scored a hat-trick for Oulton and Lawrence Dibb also crossed. Jacob Thompson and Reggie Brown scored for Easts.

Thornhill Trojans beat Bradford Dudley Hill 46-16. Joss Ratcliffe bagged a brace and other try scorers were Tom Gledhill, Luke Haigh, Sam Ratcliffe, Danny Ratcliffe, Will Gledhill and George Woodcock, who added five goals.

Andy Hullock scored a hat-trick as Hunslet Club Parkside whitewashed York Acorn 46-0 in Division One. Jamie Fields scored a try and six goals, Danny Rowse contributed a try and a conversion and Craig McShane, Jamie Bradley and Jack Kirmond also crossed.

Milford Marlins crushed Hull Dockers 34-0 thanks to tries by Matt Brocksom (two), Macauley Barron, Tom Wilson, Robin Wilks and Elliott Watmough, plus five Martin Loveridge goals.

Hunslet Warriors ended a seven-match losing streak by drawing 32-32 at Blackbrook. Try scorers were Darrell Forster (two), Johnny Dawson, Gary McClelland, Luke Naughton and Caldon Bravo and Daryl Gaunt kicked four goals. Stanningley lost 41-22 to West Bowling in Division Three. Ben Ward, Jack Sykes, Daniel Barcoe and Jack Vincent scored Stanningley’s tries and Jack Sykes (two) and Ben Selby added goals.
