Rhinos led 14-0 at half-time and added 22 more points in the third quarter to record a third successive win for the first time since 2018.

Agar insisted he wasn’t surprised by Rhinos’ five-star performance and said: “I thought we played well, that goes without saying. Right from the word go I thought we showed terrific intent with the football.”

He added: “I thought we played a really good brand of rugby league, we scored some good tries and it was pleasing to keep a team with so many good players tryless.

“That was a wonderful effort.”

Rhinos’ official man of the match was substitute Richie Myler, who played out of position at full-back after Jack Walker sustained a foot injury early on.

Agar said: “We don’t know yet how bad it is. We will get him scanned – but his replacement did a really good job.”
