Challenge Cup: Leeds Rhinos’ quarter-final trip to Hull FC snubbed by BBC

THE BBC have surprisingly opted against televising live holders Leeds Rhinos’ Ladbrokes Challenge Cup quarter-final tie at Hull FC

Instead, Sky Sports will show the game on Friday June 26 (8pm) in a repeat of the famous 2005 final when Hull caused a major shock in Cardiff.

They will also broadcast the last eight meeting between Hull KR and Catalans Dragons at KC Lighstreams Stadium on Thursday June 25 (8pm).

The BBC have chosen to follow Cup giant-killers Leigh Centurions who will be in televised action for a third successive round on Saturday June 27.

The Championship pace-setters will look to add the scalp of Warrington Wolves to those of Super League clubs Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

That game is played at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and shown on BBC One (3.00pm).

And, finally, on Sunday June 28, Super League champions St Helens host Widnes Vikings live on BBC Two with a 4.00pm kick-off.
