Forward Steve Snitch will join an exodus of players from Castleford after the club confirmed he would be leaving at the end of the season.

Ahead of tomorrow’s (Sept 2) final home game of the season against Catalan Dragons, the former Wakefield and Huddersfield player, who was not offered a new contract by the Tigers, is moving with his family to Australia, where he is expected to play in the Queensland Cup.

Snitch is one of eight confirmed departures from the Probiz Coliseum. Danny Orr, Ryan Hudson and Nick Youngquest are all retiring while Paul Jackson, Stuart Jones, Josh Griffin and Joe Arundel will continue their careers elsewhere.

Millward welcomes back playmakers Rangi Chase, Jamie Ellis and Daryl Clark for tomorrow’s game which is sure to be an emotional affair with so many players saying their goodbyes.

“It’s important we give it our best shot for those players but also the fans in what’s been a tough year,” said Agar.

“We need to be respectful of them too and if we get the performance right then that win will be closer too.”
