Captain Kevin Sinfield has been named in Leeds Rhinos’ 19-man squad to face Castleford Tigers at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Good Friday.
Sinfield missed the victories over Wigan Warriors and Catalans Dragons in the last fortnight but has made sufficient progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury to be included in the squad.
Head coach Brian McDermott will decide nearer the match day whether Sinfield is included in the 17 to face Castleford or given an extra 48 hours recovery for the Easter Monday clash with Wakefield.
Sinfield replaces Jamie Jones-Buchanan in the squad after the forward suffered a hamstring injury in the win in France that is expected to keep him sidelined for two-four weeks.
Leeds Rhinos 19-man squad: Hardaker, Watkins, Moon, Hall, McGuire, Burrow, Aiton, Peacock, Ablett, Sinfield, S Ward, Delaney, Achurch, Cuthbertson, Sutcliffe, Singleton, Walters, Yates, Handley.
Matt Cook and Nathan Massey return to the Tigers squad after serving their one-match bans and missing the Hull FC clash, while Luke Dorn also returns after recovering from a nasty facial cut picked up during the match with Salford.
