Three members of Castleford Tigers’ backroom staff have committed their future to the club.
Assistant-coach Danny Orr, Ryan Sheridan - who is in charge of the under-19s - and conditoner Ben Cooper have all signed a new three-year contract keeping them at Castleford until the end of the 2017 season.
Orr and Cooper were already part of Tigers’ staff when Daryl Powell took over as head coach in 2013.
Sheridan was Powell’s assistant at Featherstone Rovers and had a spell there as team boss before following Powell to Castleford.
Powell said: “I’m absolutely delighted that all of our coaching staff have agreed new deals that will see them stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
“Working alongside me are an unbelievably committed and dedicated group of coaches who have been absolutely superb during my time at the club and I am really pleased that they want to stay and continue to help build a fantastic future for Castleford Tigers.”
Tigers chief executive Steve Gill said: “It’s fantastic news for our club to secure the future of our coaching team.
“The hard work they have all put in has been rewarded, I feel we have some real quality people within our coaching ranks, and they have played an important part in developing the culture within the team and club.”
