Milner, 24, has made more than 100 appearances since his debut in 2010, including 28 last year. Milner, who had a year remaining on his previous deal, said: “I’m so happy.”

“I really see the club going places over the next couple of years, and I want to be part of that.

“The ambition of where this club wants to go has significantly improved over the last two years, especially under Daryl Powell.

“I really believe Castleford Tigers can bring some silverware back to this great town soon.”

Powell, Tigers’ coach, added: “Adam is a high quality player who I feel is going to get better and better over the coming years. He will be one of our key players in our development as we look to improve further this season.

“His potential is massive and his combination with Paul McShane gives us two high quality hookers at the club.”

Hull KR hooker John Boudebza has been handed a four-match ban for the tackle that ended Castleford captain Michael Shenton’s season.

The punishment is double the normal maximum sanction for a grade B offence but a spokesman for the RFL said a disciplinary panel amended the grading due to an aggravating factor.
