Castleford Tigers' Nathan Massey getting on his bike for charity
CASTLEFORD Tigers star Nathan Massey will be raising money for the Prince of Wales Hospice by cycling for eight-straight hours on a Wattbike.
The Prince of Wales Hospice is the Tigers' charity partner and Massey will be doing the event in his driveway from 8am until 4pm on Thursday, April 23.
The 30-year-old is planning to livestream the event on his Facebook and Instagram pages and hopes to raise some funds toward the "terrific" work done by the Hospice.
The charity are based in Pontefract and offer care for patients with life-limiting diseases.
The entire Castleford squad and coaching staff successfully took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of the Hospice during pre-season.
"So, for some reason I have decided to sit on a Wattbike for eight hours to try raise a little bit of money for the guys over at The Prince of Wales Hospice," said Massey.
"We work closely with these guys at Castleford Tigers, they are a terrific charity that work tirelessly to ensure their patients have the very best care available to them.
"If you can donate even the smallest amount towards this great charity it would be greatly appreciated."
Massey has set a target of raising £1,000 and is 48 per cent of the way to his goal having raised £480 at the time of publication.
