Castleford Tigers: Castleford legend dies

Castleford Tigers' Hall of Fame member Denzil Webster has died, aged 75, after a long illness.

Webster joined Tigers in 1952 and scored 63 tries in 98 appearances before moving to York in 1956. He scored 34 tries for York, but was forced to retire in 1959 due to a knee injury.

A teacher by profession, Webster also played cricket for Castleford and York and was a former president of York Wasps RL.
