Batley Bulldogs: Paterson charged with using homophobic abuse

Have your say

Batley Bulldogs centre Lee Paterson has been charged with using homophobic abuse to another player.

Paterson was sent-off in the 72nd minute of Bulldogs’ 36-6 home Kingstone Press Championship defeat by Leigh Centurions last Sunday.

He will face a Grade E charge - which could lead to a ban of between four and eight games - when he appears before the sport’s disciplinary tribunal next Tuesday.

Bulldogs face a tribunal two days later after being accused of fielding an ineligible player in last month’s win over Sheffield Eagles.
