OULTON RAIDERS are National Conference Division One champions after a 62-12 win at Ince Rose Bridge in their final game.
Danny Stanley led the way for Raiders – who lost just once in the league – with a try and seven goals and Chris Hope, Nathan Batty and Scott MacDonald all bagged a brace of tries. Danny Hardy, Clayton Stott, Lee Gomersall and Dominic Flanagan also crossed and Sasch Brook – in his 448th and final game for the club – and Nathan Larvin each added a goal.
Milford Marlins avoided relegation on points difference despite a 42-30 home defeat by Saddleworth Rangers.
Matthew Brocksom went over twice for Milford. Other try scorers were Dave Watmough, John Elkington and Danny Horner. Martin Loveridge added five converions.
Relegation into Division One looks inevitable for Hunslet Warriors following a 28-10 home defeat by Leigh Miners, after the hosts led 10-6 at the break. Dave Norton and Lee West scored Warriors’ tries and Gary McClelland kicked an early penalty.
Easts Leeds scored four tries in the final quarter to win 36-6 at bottom club Wigan St Judes. It was close enough for Easts to kick a penalty goal to make it 14-6 midway through the second half. But Declan Tomlinson, man of the match Tom Sheldrake, Jake Normington and James Forsell ran in late tries to add to touchdowns by Luke Pettman and Tomlinson.
Nathan Conroy finished with six goals.
Stanningley were crushed 82-6 at Elland in Division Two.
