WITH FIVE games remaining, Hunslet Club Parkside are one point away from securing the National Conference Premier Division’s minor premiership.

Parkside extended their 100 per cent record to 17 games with a 42-12 thrashing of bottom club Myton Warriors.

Parkside led 36-0 at the interval through tries by Omar Alrawi (2), Andy Hullock, Ben Shulver, Luke Pettman and Mikey Hayward, with Jamie Fields (4) and Danny Rowse (2) adding goals.

Alrawi completed his hat-trick in the second half, Fields converting.

Parkside’s next game is at home to second-placed Egremont Rangers on August 4.

Milford Marlins’ Division One promotion hopes suffered a setback when they were beaten 24-18 by visitors Leigh Miners.

Josh Nathaniel, Oleksandar Skalbalit and Eddie Wilson were Marlins’ try scorers and Jacob Skinner (2) and Zak Snellgrove added conversions.

Oulton Raiders avoided a 12th successive defeat, but had to settle for a point in a 20-20 draw at Pilkington Recs after leading 20-10 going into the final six minutes.

Tom Egan scored a try and four goals and Dom Flanagan and Lawrence Dibb also crossed. Oulton’s Will Ingleby was sin-binned following a late challenge and Rob Stanley sent-off for dissent.

Will Gledhill and Danny Ratcliffe both crossed twice for leaders Thornhill Trojans in a 52-10 win at Ince Rose Bridge. Other try scorers were Ryan Fenton, Jack Gledhill, Jake Wilson, Casey Johnson and Sam Ratcliffe. Joel Gibson booted eight goals.

East Leeds had Joe Isotta sent-off for dissent in their 40-16 defeat at second-placed Crosfields.

Isotta, Shane Plunkett, James Duckworth and Hayden Disley scored Easts’ tries, all of them unconverted.

Liam Copland scored two tries and seven goals in Division Two leaders Stanningley’s 50-16 thrashing of Hull Dockers.

Other try scorers were Jack Sykes (2), Jack Smith, Stephen Welton, Jack Vincent, Adam Benn and Ben Selby.

Hunslet Warriors suffered a fourth successive defeat, 38-18 at home to West Bowling.

Liam Gaunt bagged a brace of tries, Lee Coates and Lee West also crossed and Daryl Gaunt added one goal.
