Redpath’s Yorkshire Carnegie kick-off against Jersey

YORKSHIRE CARNEGIE will kick off their Greene King IPA Championship 2015-16 campaign with a home encounter with Jersey on Sunday, September 6 (3pm).

Carnegie will play the majority of their home games on Sunday, with their second Headingley appointment coming on Sunday, September 20 against Ealing Trailblazers.

The following weekend, Carnegie welcome London Scottish on Saturday, September 26 (6pm) – with the game forming part of a massive rugby weekend in Leeds with Italy playing Canada at Elland Road that afternoon and Scotland facing the USA on the following day.

Bryan Redpath’s side visit Rotherham Titans for their first derby of the season in the second weekend of the league campaign and host their South Yorkshire rivals in their Christmas home fixture in a festive cracker on Sunday, December 27.

Doncaster visit Headingley Carnegie on Friday, October 9 for another eagerly-anticipated derby clash and the reverse fixture takes place at Castle Park on the weekend of February 12-14.

Carnegie welcome Moseley on Sunday, October 25, with the game kicking off at 2pm to avoid a clash with the World Cup semi-final at 4pm.

In November, Carnegie host relegated London Welsh on Friday, November 27.

Carnegie’s first appointment of 2016 is at Ealing on the weekend of January 1-3 and they host Cornish Pirates in their first home league clash of the year on February 7 and end the month at home to Bristol on February 28.

Bedford Blues are the opponents for the penultimate home clash of the season on March 27 before Carnegie end their home campaign against Nottingham on Sunday, April 17. They visit Jersey in their seasonal finale on April 23.
