Olympics: Wilson picked for Rio Games

Great Britain's Nile Wilson.

Leeds gymnast Nile Wilson will be part of the 13-strong Great Britain squad seeking a historic first Olympic gymnastics gold medal in Rio next month.

Wilson, 20, will be joined in the men’s team by world champion Max Whitlock, Louis Smith, Kristian Thomas and Brinn Bevan.

In the women’s team, Becky Downie returns for her second Games alongside her younger sister Ellie, with Amy Tinkler, Ruby Harrold and four-times Commonwealth Games champion Claudia Fragapane completing the line-up.

The GB trampoline team comprises Kat Driscoll, Bryony Page and Nathan Bailey.
