Match report: Leeds United v Middlesbrough

Luciano Becchio scored at the death to extend Leeds United's unbeaten record to 12 games during a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

The striker drove home a volley in injury-time to snatch a dramatic point at Elland Road.

A poor first half saw few chances but David Wheater opened the scoring for Middlesbrough when he headed home Julio Arca's corner in the 20th minute.

An off-target volley from Robert Snodgrass was as close as Leeds came to a goal before half-time and United rarely looked like forcing an equaliser.

McCormack went close after the break with a free-kick which curled wide and substitute Lloyd Sam also threatened Boro goalkeeper Jason Steele, but Becchio claimed a draw just when the game seemed to be lost.
