Left-back Luke O'Brien admits Bradford City face a tricky tie at Crewe Alexandra tomorrow (3pm) but is optimistic a fantastic festive period can ignite the Bantams' League Two promotion hopes.
City were pre-season favourites for the League Two title yet sit down in 14th – four points off the play-offs and two behind ninth-placed Crewe.
The Alex have lost just one of their last five league games – at home
to promotion fancies Rotherham – but while O'Brien has full respect for tomorrow's hosts, the 22-year-old hopes the Christmas period is Bradford's time to shine.
"It's always a hard place to go to down at Crewe," said O'Brien, pictured above.
"Dario Gradi has got his team well organised, they know what they are doing and it will be a tough game but were looking forward to it and hopefully we can go there and win.
"We're not doing the best in the league, we are mid-table and while we are not far off the play-offs, we are not far away from the relegation zone.
"Hopefully we can all club together over Christmas and the new year and we will be looking good for promotion."
