New coach Brian McDermott has revealed he is loving life at Leeds Rhinos despite admitting the current weather is nothing but a nuisance.
McDermott and his Rhinos squad continue to be frustrated by the current big freeze with snow and ice preventing full-throttle outdoor training, McDermott revealing the Leeds squad are training only indoors and on a 3G pitch.

Boxing Day's annual clash with Wakefield Wildcats is already only 19 days away and counting and McDermott says his side are badly missing natural outdoor training, but there is no hiding the new coach's passion for the job nearly six weeks into his new role.

The former Harelequins RL coach has settled quickly into his new position at Headingley Carnegie and, putting the weather issues to one side, has been impressed with his new colleagues both on and off the pitch as a whole.
"I'm enjoying it at the moment and the players are responding really well," said 40-year-old McDermott.
"They are a great bunch to coach and I'm enjoying working with the people in the offices and some of the people in marketing and commercial. I think they are very good as well.
"At this stage, and it is only at this stage, I'm enjoying it but we've got a long journey in front of us and there's a lot of work to be done which I'm looking forward to."
