The City of Leeds Synchronised Swimming club has gone from strength to strength since it was founded in 2008, with members regularly winning gold and silver medals in competitions across the country.
“It is really down to the volunteers who have always been with the club that come into the sessions and teach, it is because of them we have been able to grow,” said development coach Sarah Speed.
The group, which has around 100 members aged from seven to 70, is now training for the British Championships in Gloucester. The club is also a Beacon centre, which means swimmers from other cities come to train with the squad.
Sarah said the club had grown a lot since she started her role to help develop the sport in 2011. Visit www.synchroleeds.org.
