Leeds opened an early four-point lead. The Scorchers found a way through the Force’s defence and went on a nine-point run. There was some comical play from Leeds during Surrey’s run. After winning the ball Sanders looked to play the ball forward but ended up hitting the back of Clayfell Harris’ head, the ball fell to Albert Margai who found the basket unopposed.

Sanders put an end to the run after converting both his free throws. An Eddie Matthew triple at the end of the quarter made it a four-point deficit after the first quarter. Quincy Taylor scored the first six points for the Scorchers in the second period as the Force struggled to deal with the 6.8’ Will Neighbour.

A 6-0 run from Sanders and Isenbarger midway through the quarter brought the game to within just a basket as they quickened up their play during transition.

Leeds stormed the Scorchers in the third as Isenbarger sank a triple with the half just 10 seconds old. It didn’t stop there as the Force went on a 12-0 run which consisted of a buzzer beater three from Sanders and a deep three from Isenbarger.
