FIVE members from the Leeds Shotokan Karate Club have been selected to fight for England at the World Shotokan Karate Association championships in Treviso, Italy.

Sensei Ryan Tucker, Ethan Armstrong, James Humphries, Luciano Zanuni and Jade Stapleton-Smith, pictured, have all been selected based on their performances throughout the year at various national and regional competitions.

Tucker, fighting in his fifth World Championships, and Ethan were both part of the England team that won the European Team Kumite gold in Chalkida, Greece last year, so will be hoping to bring back a world title to Leeds this time round.

If anyone wants to start karate they can contact Sensei Ryan on 07935917411 or visit the website: www.leedsshotokankarate.co.uk for more details.
