Pudsey’s Nile Wilson has been selected to represent Team GB at this month’s World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow.
European Junior all-around champion and dual Commonwealth gold medallist Wilson will seek to seal Olympic qualification and forms part of a GB male sextet.
World Championship all-around silver medallist Max Whitlock, triple Olympic medal winner and European pommel champion Louis Smith MBE and European floor champion Kristian Thomas are also selected, along with Scotsman and British champion Daniel Purvis plus English all-around champion Brinn Bevan.
GB men’s head national coach, Eddie Van Hoof said: “The team reflects the great strides made by the Great Britain’s men’s gymnastics programme. The primary aim for Glasgow is Rio qualification but a home World Championships with the fantastic home crowd also gives extra motivation.”
