Moortown’s Stephen East enjoys taste of Seniors success all on his own

Moortown’s Stephen East, joint winner of the Yorkshire Seniors’ Championship in 2014, went one step further this year as he savoured outright victory at Knaresborough.

He only had a shot to spare, though, after two consecutive rounds of 74 gave him a 148 aggregate.

Both Philip Cross (Hornsea) and Wakefield’s Stephen Mason finished on 149 with identical performances – 75 on day one and 74 on day two.
