Kilbride proves in class of her own as she wins the Moortown Junior Masters

LIBBY KILBRIDE, the only girl in the Moortown Junior Masters field, lifted the title with a 36-point total.

The Renishaw Park player, who recently competed in England Golf’s Abraham Trophy for the country’s most improved young girl players, carded a superb gross 78, three over par.

Taylor Lloyd (Oulton Hall) won the 10-11 Age Group prize with 34 points, and Nathan Ali (Cookridge Hall) triumphed in the 12-13 Age Group with the same total after a countback on the final six holes against his peers.

Alex Rennocks, of Scarthingwell, had the best net tally of 41, three better than runner-up Alfie Storer (Cookridge Hall).

Stuart and Oliver Cage took the junior-adult prize with 43.
