six points must be Leeds United’s aim in the next two home games.

If we can do this it should push us a couple of places higher [up the Championship table) and chasing automatic promotion.

Plea to the YEP Jury. Please pick a bad result against Cardiff. We should then win.

Letting Mulhern go is a bad move

Frank Mulhern and Mallik Wilks are two different types of player.

Mulhern is a strong, robust kind of striker whereas Wilks is a quick touch-and-move kind of striker.

I think Mulhern should have been given a chance with the first team in the cup games this season as he was the best of the younger players playing as a one-man attack.

Both players know how to finish chances off and I think letting Mulhern go is a bad move by [head coach Garry] Monk.

Mulhern move understandable

Disappointing to hear that Frank Mulhern has left the club [Leeds United] but I can understand why as he was unlikely to get near the first-team squad this season.

And with the new owner/possible promotion it is highly likely new strikers will come in during the summer.

Mallik Wilks had moved ahead of him and with Garry Monk normally only playing one out-and-out striker, opportunities to play as the striker are limited for first-team players let alone reserves/academy players.

Eoghan Stokes was also probably ahead of Mulhern. I think he played with the first-team squad pre-season and has been in some squads since, but his opportunity to break through looks some way off too as he has dropped behind Wilks as well.

These players will only wait so long for first-team opportunities and will end up leaving if they cannot see it coming soon.

If the club don’t think they will have a chance in the foreseeable future there is no point keeping them and denying them opportunities elsewhere.

It would have been unlikely that all three – Wilks, Stokes and Mulhern – were going to break through as soon as they wanted.

Warnock will be fired up for visit

One thing for sure is that [Cardiff City manager] Neil Warnock will be busting a gut to get one over on [former club] Leeds United, and he will certainly view this as personal and have his team fired up totally.

We have to be ready and bounce back in style to send a message to our promotion challengers [in the Championship] that we are still here and will fight to the end.
