Your Leeds United views: Fans starting to wish for a billionaire's investment

We (Leeds United) will probably end up in our ‘comfort zone’ of 15th this season (in the final Sky Bet Championship table).

And I wouldn’t bank on Steve Evans being manager at the start of next season, either.

In addition, it’s amazing that Preston are above us. Good for Simon Grayson, I say.

He never deserved to be fired (after, in my view, effectively being made to sell all the good players) and it’s been downhill since the disaster that was Neil Warnock.

Next season will be really hard as half the teams in the division have a strong investment.

Here’s hoping a billionaire buys us, appoints Jose Mourinho (or Grayson) and we buy John Terry, Yaya Toure, Zlatan and a decent ’keeper ...

Serious issues need sorting

Leeds United head coach Steve Evans and owner Massimo Cellino should now know what is required in terms of recruitment of players – especially if Cellino is serious about funding the squad to mount a serious challenge for promotion next season.

The key word is SERIOUS.

I think a lot of fans will forego the ‘cheaper’ season ticket prices, and wait and see whether Cellino is serious, by the quality of players that are signed (if any), and whether Lewis Cook and Charlie Taylor etc have signed extended contracts.

The ball is firmly in Cellino’s court. Let’s see if he turns out to be serious.

As for this season, I’m just glad we’ve escaped a relegation dog fight – I think.

Encouraged by upturn in form

We (Leeds United) are once again not going to make the play-offs!

What I’m more encouraged by is a little decent run of form to hopefully carry on until the end of the season and to build on that to next season.

Once again ... play-offs out of the question for Leeds United.

Time to blood young players

While it’s s still possible, I’d hope we were going for it (the play-offs, remember Reading?), but I really hope the youngsters get a decent run in the first team in remaining ‘dead rubbers’.

Steve Evans (Leeds United’s head coach) reckons Jordan Botaka might be ‘a player’, so why not start the lad?

And yes, development squad is different to Championship, but, surely, the likes of Eoghan Stokes, Lewis Walters and Robbie McDaid should be blooded while there’s nothing much at stake.
