At the other end of the table, Rodillian were relegated after a 6-1 home defeat to Alwoodley. Dan Whincup opened the scoring for Alwoodley before defensive errors allowed Callum Armstrong to score a brace. Tom Rawson, James Turner and Owen Smith were all on target for Alwoodley.

Rodillian’s relegation means that Wigton Moor are safe after a 7-0 win against Stanningley. A double for Leroy Watson meant Wigton led 2-0 at the interval before Chris Lone, Mark Beattie and Saeed Osman all got on the scoresheet.

In a game of little importance, fourth-placed Leeds Medics and Dentists overcame Grangefield 2-1. Kieran Wardman pounced to give Medics the lead after Luke Hunter had rattled the crossbar for Grangefield earlier in the half.

In the Championship, champions St Nicholas’ title party was spoilt after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Leeds Medics and Dentists Reserves.

Their 5-1 victory away at Thornesians in midweek, along with Beeston Juniors’ 2-1 defeat against Stanningley had already secured St Nicholas’ spot at the summit.

Elsewhere, Alwoodley Reserves and Stanningley Reserves shared the points in a 3-3 draw. Goals for Stanningley came from Shane Collins, Matt Gerraghty and Jake Dalley. Kamil Piekara scored a brace for Alwoodley, while Jamie Ball was also on target.
