FT York City 0 Rotherham United 0: Minstermen and Millers locked in stalemate

York City and Rotherham United had to share the points in their Yorkshire derby clash in League Two.

Both sides were unchanged for this League Two encounter.

It meant that on loan Peterborough player Danny Kearns had to settle for a place on the York bench.

Rotherham were aiming to exact revenge for their recent home JP Trophy defeat to the Minstermen.

Lionel Ainsworth tested Michael Ingham early on but York took control through their speed on the break.

Scott Shearer made fine saves from Ashley Chambers and Jason Walker and the first half ended goalless.

Rotherham reshaped and pressed for much of the second half only for Ainsworth to fluff two great chances.
