How to play?

World Cup 2018.

World Cup 2018.

The official World Cup game can be found right here along with the rules and regulations. It can be a tricky business picking your team so we've spotted some cheaper options for you this summer.

You have £100m to spend so do so wisely...

3-5-2... it has to be doesn't it? Goals win games and in this case they also win fantasy points. Get that midfielder loaded and watch your team dominate - we're all about attacking football and you should be too.

Outside players to consider for your team...

Goalkeepers - Rui Patricio, Hugo Lloris, Fernando Muslera: An important but also not so important part of your team. Of course, clean sheets are welcome but it's further forward your points will be earned. Portugese stopper Rui Patricio is one who grabs our eye after their showing at the Euro's in France two years ago, get ready for some strong defensive displays and then, when they are ready, they'll unleash Ronaldo.

Defenders - Thomas Meunier, Joshua Kimmich, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker: Clean sheets are a premium in this game but maybe not quite so much in a knockout competition. A marauding defender could be the catch of the day and with England set to play wing-backs throughout the tournament assists could be a bonus.

Midfielders - Dusan Tadic, Christian Eriksen, Gylfi Sidgursson, Juan Cuadrado, Carlos Sanchez: Away from the obvious picks of those in the world game these are a few who have caught our eye. Carlos Sanches will be a key figure for Uruguay should they progress deep into the competition and will be a solid earner from midfielder to help you pick up maximum points for your side.

Forwards - Timo Werner, Edison Cavani, Antoine Greizmann, Javier Hernandez: Poachers are what we all need and we've picked out a few of the cheaper options. The obvious big name picks are Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez and even Robert Lewandowski - but we've picked out four who will also be wanted to grab the headlines and should be slightly cheaper options for your team.
