After having their crossbar rattled twice in the first 22 minutes, Guiseley almost went in front when Fiona Worts’ effort was saved and then cleared off the line. Fylde eventually broke the deadlock just before half-time when Sophie Charlton capitalized on a mis-kicked clearance, before a late Lauren Davies strike sealed the win and a second-round FA Cup exit for Guiseley.

The woodwork was also hit twice by Leeds United in a feisty league encounter against visitors Bolton Wanderers.

The Whites once again walked away empty handed after Safron Newhouse bagged a 1-0 win for Bolton that leaves Leeds lingering inside the drop zone after a sixth league loss on the bounce.

Still flexing their title muscles in the West Riding Premier Division are Tingley Athletic after dismissing title rivals Yorkshire Amateur 3-0 through Shannon Cavan, Lucy Richardson and Lauren Colton to go five points clear in first.

Outsiders Hepworth United battled to a 3-2 victory over Leeds Medics and Dentists which leaves them still in the title mix, while Silden Firsts’ faint promotion hopes suffered a huge blow when they were humbled 1-0 at mid-tablers Brighouse Athletic.

A solid 3-0 win at Leeds City returned Ossett Town Firsts to winning ways in the First Division. Carly Doyle, Tina Toohey and Kayleigh West sealed a win that keeps them in touch with leaders Farsley Celtic Development.

The result also allowed Clifton Rangers to leapfrog Leeds into third after they fought off rock-bottom Republica Internationale, 3-2.

In Division Two, a penalty miss denied Ripon City victory at Skipton Town. Annabel Riley’s effort earned Town a 1-1 draw, cancelling out Chloe Bethell’s strike for Ripon.

Meanwhile, a first win since October was sealed in emphatic style for Farsley Celtic Development, heaping further misery on point-less and goal-less Hebden Royd United with an 8-0 win.

Another title clash this time saw the leaders thwarted as Ilkley Town comfortably saw off Third Division leaders Tyersal 4-0 to go one point behind their opponents with a game in hand.

New Farnley, meanwhile, continued their impressive revival as they reached double figures once again by battering Kirkstall Crusaders 12-2.
