Who has qualified from the Champions League group stages?

PSG and Real Madrid finished top of their respective groups after healthy wins in the final round of fixtures. They join Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea in the hat as group winners, who will be seeded in the Round of 16 draw.

The runners-up from the group stages, who will now enter the last 16 draw, are Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Monchengladbach, Lazio, RB Leipzig, Porto and Sevilla.

What happened to Manchester United?

Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League after a 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig on Tuesday 8 December.

It means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils finish third in the Group H table behind their German opponents and French side PSG.

The last time United failed to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League was in 2015/16 under former manager Louis van Gaal.

United will compete in the Europa League, following their Champions League exit.

When is the Champions League Round of 16 draw?

The Round of 16 draw will take place at UEFA’s Nyon headquarters in Switzerland on Monday 14 December 2020. The draw will be made at 11am UK time.

The 16 teams are split into two pots as group winners are drawn against group runners up.

Group winners will play the first leg of the Round of 16 ties away and the second leg at home.

When will the Round of 16 matches be played?

The first legs of the Round of 16 ties are scheduled to be played on four dates across two weeks in February, the 16-17 and 23-24.

The second legs will be played on 9-10 and 16-17 March.
