Everton could have Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic available for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
Defender Coleman and midfielder Besic both came off in last weekend’s victory over Chelsea due to hamstring problems, but Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has reported the pair have reacted well to treatment and are not being ruled out of the trip to Wales.
If they do not make it, their replacements in that game - debutant Ramiro Funes Mori and hat-trick hero Steven Naismith - will be ready to step in again. Midfielder Darron Gibson (foot) is nearing a first-team return having featured for the under-21s on Monday but is not expected to be ready just yet.
Provisional squad: Howard, Robles, Stones, Jagielka, Funes Mori, Browning, Coleman, Galloway, Barry, McCarthy, Besic, Osman, Barkley, Mirallas, Lennon, Deulofeu, Naismith, Kone, Lukaku.
Swansea are at full strength for the Barclays Premier League visit of Everton on Saturday.
Jefferson Montero began last weekend’s defeat at Watford on the bench following a thigh injury, but the winger is in contention to start for the first time since August 22 with Wayne Routledge likely to drop out.
Midfielder Ki Sung-yueng is available after flying home to South Korea after the Watford game to attend the birth of his first child.
Provisional squad: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Cork, Shelvey, Montero, Ayew, Sigurdsson, Gomis, Nordfeldt, Rangel, Bartley, Amat, Tabanou, Ki, Fulton, Britton, Routledge, Emnes, Barrow, Eder, Grimes.
