The early pace-setters, unbeaten Chapeltown Fforde Green, have been playing catch-up due to cup commitments but they suffered a blip against winless visitors Horsforth Fairweather.

A second-half equaliser from Oli Roper meant the home side had to settle for a point after Dom Blair had given Chapeltown, who have now won just once in their last three games, a half-time lead.

That result meant that JB Celtic would close the gap on the top four with a win at third-placed HT Sports.

Despite a hat-trick from HT’s Steve Palfrey, Celtic were able to earn a 4-4 draw as the league’s top-scorer, John Mallinson, added another two to his tally.
