Southampton v Crystal Palace: Latest FA Cup team news UPDATED

Have your say

Graziano Pelle has failed to beat his knee injury in time for Southampton’s FA Cup clash with Crystal Palace at St Mary’s.

Saturday’s third-round tie has come too soon for both striker Pelle (knee) and goalkeeper Fraser Forster, finally on his way back after nine months recovering from knee surgery.

Cedric Soares and Juanmi are both fit again, while Victor Wanyama starts his two-match ban after his red card at Norwich last week.

Provisional squad: Stekelenburg, Gazzaniga, K Davis, Martina, Caulker, Van Dijk, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand, Targett, Clasie, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, S Davis, Tadic, Ramirez, Mane, Long, Soares, Juanmi.

Manager Alan Pardew will have Bakary Sako available for selection as Crystal Palace take on Southampton in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Forward Sako has been out with a hamstring injury since November. Midfielder Yohan Cabaye is also back after serving a one-match suspension but Yannick Bolasie (hip/thigh) and Kwesi Appiah (knee) are still absent.

Connor Wickham (calf strain) and Dwight Gayle (hamstring) will not be fit until Palace’s Premier League game against Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Provisional squad: Hennessey, Speroni, Dann, Delaney, Hangeland, Souare, Mariappa, Ward, Lee, Ledley, McArthur, McCarthy, Mutch, Puncheon, Campbell, Sako, Chamakh, Cabaye, Zaha.
