Interviews will be concluded today, with former Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn being the strong favourite for the post.

After some deliberation time, the Millers hierarchy are set to name their chosen candidate, either via an announcement today or tomorrow.

Redfearn, 50, has been out of the game since leaving Leeds in the summer and has also been linked with the vacant post at Doncaster Rovers.

After exiting Leeds following an acrimonious fall-out with owner Massimo Cellino, the Yorkshireman’s legal representatives managed to sort out a compensation deal, before he set his sights on a return to frontline coaching and management.

Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs, 44, is rated as second favourite for the position following the exit of Evans on September 28

The Millers have been inundated with interest for the post from home and abroad, including from candidates in Germany, Holland, Spain and Portugal.
