Remember Leeds United youngster Michael Woods? He's now scoring worldies for Harrogate Town

The former Thorp Arch graduate joined Simon Weaver's men last week as he made the move to Town from division rivals Hartlepool United. Woods, who is now 28, marked his second debut with a cracker of a goal in his sides 3-1 victory over Braintree Town on Saturday. Take a look below (wooft!):

Whites fans may remember Woods for turning down a scholarship at Thorp Arch at the age of 16 instead opting join Chelsea alongside Tom Taiwo with then Leeds chairman Ken Bates accusing the Blues of tapping the pair up before their moves south.

United and Chelsea eventually agreed an out-of-court settlement of £5million for the duo but Woods' time at Stamford Bridge was hampered by a number of injuries and resulted in his release from the club in 2011 after a loan spell with Notts County.

Spells with Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Harrogate and Hartlepool followed and now the midfielder has rejoined Weaver's men at the CNG Stadium as they push for promotion to the Football League for the first time in the club's history.

“I’m delighted to be back, I loved my time here four years ago,” Woods said last week after putting pen to paper with Town.

“The club was progressing then, and how far they’ve come in such a short space of time is incredible. This is a club on the rise and I’m really happy to be a part of things here.

“It was clear at Hartlepool that the time was right for me to move on and when this opportunity arose it was too good to turn down. I managed to chip in with a few goals in this league last year and I’m looking to contribute here as well, but the most important thing is to try and help the team win games.”
