Aston Villa striker and record signing Darren Bent has been ruled out of Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash at QPR with a groin problem.

Fellow forward Emile Heskey (hamstring) is still sidelined but transfer deadline day signing Jermaine Jenas is given a 50-50 chance of recovering from a thigh problem.

Villa boss Alex McLeish has recalled rookie striker Andreas Weimann from a loan spell at Watford while Charles N’Zogbia will return to the side after being rested for the Carling Cup tie with Bolton.
