Leeds City continued their battle for glory on all fronts with a resounding 6-1 win at home to Sherburn White Rose in the League Cup.

Barrie Frankland, Timothy Baines and Jason Miller bagging the goals for City.

Elsewhere league leaders Field put five past Otley Town to secure an impressive away win and progress to the next round.

Glyn Hurst hit a hat-trick and Daniel Cunningham and Christopher Wood also netted.

In the Premier Division, second bottom Ripon City held third-placed Bardsey to a surprise 2-2 draw and Wetherby Athletic in fourth, capitalised with a 2-1 win at home Knaresborough Town.

Jonathan Hadley and Joseph Wilkes netted for the hosts.

Shelley also ran out 2-1 winners, with goals from Dan Morgan enough to see off Beeston St Anthony’s.

Robin Hood Athletic came out as victors in a seven-goal thriller with a 4-3 success at home to East End Park.

Gareth Mitchell and Joshua Knaggs notched for the visitors but Tinotenda Chibharo, Jonny Downey, Scott Murgatroyd and Jordan Stafford arrowed Robin Hood to three points.

Second-placed Horbury Town missed out on two points with a 1-1 draw at home to Oxenhope Recreation.

Town took the lead through a Tom Dews strike but Daniel Moriarty left Oxenhope with a point to take home.

In Division One, Pool put five past Stanley United with a dominant 5-1 capped by an outstanding solo performance from Thomas Fleming, who scored four goals. Reece Williams also grabbed a goal for the hosts and the result further cements their place at the topof the table.

Carlton Athletic, in second, saw their title hopes slip further from their grasp as they went down 2-1 away to Hunslet Club, with Jonathan Grayston and Lee Turner scoring for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Aberford Albion won 3-1 to seal three points at home to Old Centralians, with a Simeon Bambrook brace and a Martin Britton strike proving decisive.

Altofts fell 2-1 at home to Ilkley Town, a Thomas Rennolds double the difference.

Kippax dispatched Howden Clough 4-1, with a Richard Marchant strike complementing a Richard Jackson hat-trick. Similiarly, Old Modernians beat Thornhill 4-1 at home, thanks to a Ben Turner hat-trick and a Danny Claxton strike. Featherstone Colliey produced a second-half comeback to take the points at Swillington Saints, coming from 3-1 down to win 4-3 through goals from Adam Cameron, Kyle Sambrook and Michael Seed. Whitkirk Wanderers were beaten 5-2 at home by Headingley, thanks to a Timothy Curtis treble and an Oliver Carter double.

In the Division Two, Hartshead maintained their lead at the top with a comfortable 3-1 win at Normanton Woodhouse Hill with goals Jamie Wasley, Benjamin Smith and Liam Gowan. Middleton Park fell 1-0 at home to Mount St Mary’s, thanks to Jordan Talbot’s effort.

Yorkshire Amateur slipped closer to relegation with a 3-1 loss at the hands of Ossett Common Rovers. In the Alliance Division Leeds City Reserves won 3-1 away at Field Reserves. Liam Lambert had given the hosts the lead at half-time, but a stunning second half show from Leeds saw Kyriakos Kyriakopoulos, Mitchell Pattinson and Robert Potter seal the win.
