YORKSHIRE AMATEUR will look to continue their superb start to the season with tomorrow’s hosting of Garforth Rangers in which victory could send the thriving Ammers nine points clear in the NCE Premier.
Ammers welcome 15th-placed Garforth holding a six-point lead at the top of the division though second-placed Penistone Church have two games in hand.
But Penistone face the trip to third-placed Knaresborough Town who are level on points with them and with an additional game in hand.
Bridlington Town are a further four points back in fourth ahead of their second-round East Riding Senior Cup clash at Sculcoates Amateurs.
Hemsworth Miners Welfare, who are seventh but with a game in hand on some of the sides above them, welcome 13th-placed Athersley Recreation.
At the foot of the Premier Division, Harrogate Railway are at home to 11th-placed Eccleshill United with Rail’ one point behind second-bottom Goole AFC and three points form safety.
Goole, who have played the same number of games as Railway, are not in action.
Third-bottom Thackley are the team to catch in order to be safe at present but Thackley have two games in hand on the bottom two sides and entertain ninth-placed Bottesford Town tomorrow.
Thackley are two points behind fourth-bottom Liversedge who are also not in action.
In Division One of the NCE League, fourth-positioned Nostell Miners Welfare visit 14th-placed Ollerton Town with Nostell nine points behind leaders Winterton Rangers and four adrift of second-placed Campion who both have a game in hand.
Campion are at home to fourth-bottom Skegness Town while Winterton visit seventh-placed Glasshoughton Welfare.
But Selby Town are well poised in fifth with Selby level on points with Nostell ahead of their trip to the division’s bottom side FC Bolsover.
Bolsover have yet to pick up a single point from their first 10 games with their goal difference standing at minus 56.
Twelfth-placed AFC Emley are not in action tomorrow.
