GILDERSOME Spurs Old Boys secured a 2-1 success at home to Senior A title-rivals Grangefield Old Boys with Spurs now the only unbeaten team in the whole league.
Spurs led through Matty Moon and while Matt Tomlinson levelled, Steve Wales bagged the winner.
Second-placed Ealandians suffered a 2-1 reverse at home to fourth-bottom Alwoodley. Jacob Driver scored for Ealandians but late goals from Mark Thompson and Graham Shaw turned the game.
Old Modernians and Trinity and All Saints shared a 2-2 draw. Trinity netted twice through Stevie Travers with Dave Bergan and Andy Atkins on target for Mods.
Huddersfield Amateur recorded a 2-0 victory against Old Batelians. Chris Brinks and Joe Simmons were the goal-getters.
In Senior B, Farsley Celtic Juniors thrashed Thornesians 11-1. Farsley’s Craig Farrand and Louis Surtees bagged five and three with Adam Jesusco, Ben Cook and James Firth also netting.
Collingham Juniors Old Boys defeated Shire Academics 2-1 through Richard Metcalfe and Jordan Riley goals. Mark Freeman was the scorer for Shire.
In Division One, Leeds Medics and Dentists 3rds recorded a 4-3 win over Beeston St Anthonys. Patrick Knight, with two, plus Sverrir Kristinsson and Chris Pickering netted for the hosts.
Division Two leaders Colton marched on with a 7-3 success over Leeds Medics 4ths. Colton’s goals came through Robert Ashworth and Chris Hick with doubles plus Sean Kerrigan, Mike Ellington and Jordan Thackray.
Huddersfield YMCA beat Woodkirk Valley 2-1. Goals for James Hodgson and Brendan Shanahan cancelled out Dylan Bradley’s strike.
FC Headingley Reserves have gone top of Division Three after beating Old Modernians Reserves 3-2 with Andy Hume adding a goal to Thomas Carter’s brace.
The pick of the Division Four matches saw first play second with Churwell Lions beating Old Centralians Reserves 2-0. Ash Oates scored Churwell’s second.
Bottom of Division Five Old Modernians 5ths are still without a win as they lost 4-2 to St Bedes AFC 3rds. Goals from Tony Mckenna and Tommy Snowden proved in vain.
Elsewhere, Thorensians 3rds reached the Hodgsons Cup Final after beating Alwoodley 3rds 5-2. Joe Cook, Adam Land, Jake Richards, Chris Baines and James Wootton bagged one each for the cup finalists.
