LEEDS City kept their Premier Division title destiny in their own hands with Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to leaders Field.

Adam Dutson gave City a 13th-minute lead in front of a decent crowd but Chris Wood levelled for Field who remain 10 points clear with three games in hand.

The two will meet again in a potential title decider at Field on May 16.

Saturday’s stalemate followed victories for both sides on Wednesday evening with City going in 3-0 at East End Park through late goals from James Hochstrasser, Leroy McIntosh and Alex Miller.

Field obliged 5-1 at Oxenhope Recreation thanks to a double from Daniel Cunningham plus efforts from Darryll Leach, Tom Ponter and Andrew Hawker.

Horbury Town are a point further back in third but with just two games left after a 2-1 win at home to fourth-placed Bardsey with Alex Ferguson and Gibril Bojang netting.

Wetherby Athletic rose to fifth with a 2-1 triumph at Beeston St Anthony’s who drop to sixth. Thomas Hesketh and Domonic Creamer netted for the visitors. Beeston had thumped visiting Robin Hood Athletic 7-0 just four days earlier.

Second-bottom Boroughbridge are on the brink of relegation after Saturday’s 5-1 loss at eighth-placed Oxenhope Recreation whose Daniel Moriarty bagged two with Thomas Marshall, Oliver Metcalfe and Leon Smith adding one each. Jake Fletcher consoled Bridge.

East End Park moved six points clear of the drop zone with a 3-2 victory over ninth-placed visitors Knaresborough Town. Park’s Gareth Mitchell scored twice and Gary Thomas also struck to overcome goals from Ben Lock and Billy Lumsden. Fourth-bottom Brighouse Old Boys were felled 3-1 by seventh-placed visitors Robin Hood Athletic with James Finlayson picking up a brace to complement a strike from Dale Pickering. Alex Hallam scored for the hosts. Otley Town also enjoyed a 5-1 win at Shelley with a double from James Shenton plus strikes from Scott Carter, Joseph Hall and Josh Walte.

In Division Two, Sherburn White Rose moved to within one point of sealing the championship with a 3-1 win at Mount St Mary’s. Thomas Hamill netted for the hosts but a double from Danny Middleton and a goal from Lee Jones did the business for Sherburn.

Sole title dangers Hartshead were felled 2-1 by fourth-placed promotion chasers Rothwell Town through goals from Thomas Carter and Ben Willis in the face of a home Jon Jo Keogh strike.

Rothwell are battling Baildon Third-placed Baildon Trinity Athletic are the other team on the promotion picture after a 5-2 triumph at home to Garforth Rangers through goals from Ben Craven, Louis Francis, Ben Mackenzie, Daniel Milner and Andrew Radosavic.

Division One leaders Pool thumped bottom club visitors Howden Clough 8-1.

Thomas Fleming grabbed two with Steven Preston, Harvey Atkinson, Neil Ebdon, Robert Cross, James Carroll and Grant Bligh adding one each.

Second-placed Carlton Athletic stay a point off the pace after triumphing 2-0 at second-bottom Swillington Saints with a Liam Moore double.

Wyke Wanderers are eight points back in third after a goalless draw at home to fourth-placed Ilkley Town who are a further 10 points adrift.
