THIRD-BOTTOM Seacroft WMC closed the gap on fifth-placed Chapeltown Fforde Grene to two points with a 5-3 away win in the Jubilee Premier.
Nathan Keighley scored a hat-trick for Seacroft, supported by strikes from Scott Townsley and Scott Jones which collectively outweighed Fforde efforts from Kieran Goodison, Cameron Lyn and Tnique Fishley.
In the Premier, strikes from Ryan O’Donnell and Stanley Hiamey were not enough to prevent Chapeltown Fforde Grene Reserves succumbing to a 3-2 defeat at seventh-place East Leeds Celtic.
Elsewhere, Ash Hubbard bagged a hat-trick to help maintain Kirkstall Crusaders’ title challenge as they obliged 5-2 at home to Colton. Kirkstall’s Ash Thompson and Mark Whittam also netted. A Benjamin Wade strike for FC Broadway was in vein as they were defeated 4-1 at home to second-bottom Garforth Sports & Social. Goals apiece for Krystian Janorski and Jonny Sands cancelled each other out in the 1-1 draw between Harehills WMC and sixth-place Hunslet Parnaby. Kippax maintained their lead at the top with a 4-1 triumph at Swillington Welfare. Strikes from Peter Gibbons (2), Richard Jackson and Josh Morley ensured victory.
In Division One, strikes from Dan Rose and Jordan Potts helped bottom club Oulton Athletic gain a shock win over third place Chapel Allerton.
Millshaw Park Rangers gained a 7-1 victory at home to second-place Pendas Arms, with Josh Knaggs scoring a hat-trick, and Scott Carter, Adam Jarrett, Chirs Ward and David Stocks also finding the net.
New Pudsey claimed top spot with an 8-1 triumph away at Moortown Albion thanks to strikes from James Allen (3), Ashley Forber (2), Dave Thornton, Patrick Sutton and Brohdi Wilkinson.
In Division Two, Liam Attwood and Phil Jarvis both bagged braces for Corpus Christi as they obliged 5-2 at home to AFC Elford, whose consolation goals came from Rahaan Pervaiz and Ajmal Taj.
It was honours even in the 3-3 draw between sixth-place Halfway and seventh-place West Yorkshire Falcons. Strikes from Adam Pulford, Adam Prince and Dale Hague-Fisher for the home side were cancelled out with replies from Tim Wambunya (2) and Jose Flores for the Falcons.
In Division 3A, Republica Internationale closed the gap at the top to two points with a 4-0 victory away at second bottom Amaranth Athletic. Pat Newton, Matthew Booth, Mohamed Hamawai and Josh Booth all netted. Halfway House Bramley triumphed 4-1 away at bottom club Original Oak. In Division 3B, Millshaw Park Rangers Reserves suffered a 3-2 home defeat against Black Lion while Moortown Albion Reserves secured a 5-2 triumph away at Temple. Woodcock extended their lead at the top, obliging 4-0 at home to Northern Star.
In The LUTY Cup third round, FC Horsforth Saints triumphed 2-1 at home to Pudsey athletic thanks to strikes from Rick Hall and Danny Azzaro, while Sporting Pudsey enjoyed aa 2-1 victory away at West Leeds Armley. In the Mawson Cup third round, Bramley Town Reserves triumphed 9-1 at home to FC Armley. East End Park WMC obliged 3-1 at home to New Moorside and Western Juniors gained a 3-1 victory away at West Leeds Farnley.
