second-placed Millbridge WMC shocked title hopefuls St John Fisher with a notable 4-1 Premier Division scalp on Sunday.

Luke Sherman, Liam Fox, Paul Smith and Joe Kenzitt netted for Millbridge, who lie four points behind leaders Birkenshaw, whilst Dominic Simpson hit Fisher’s reply.

Woodman Batley Carr earned three vital points in their battle against the drop, winning 4-3 at fellow strugglers Mirfield Town.

Lee Brook fired a brace, with Andrew Pickles and Daniel Peace completing Woodman’s scoring.

Mirfield replied through a Reece Drake double, plus one from Michael Rounding.

With the Championship leaders Battyeford not in action, second placed Oakwell Motel closed the gap to five points with a 5-1 win over struggling Hartshead.

Jonny Beverley netted two, with Jamie Smith, Ashley Peel and Ben McCann completing Oakwell’s tally.

Liam Roe scored five goals as FC Pack Horse cantered to a 10-0 win over St John Fisher Reserves.

Sam Buswell, James Parkin, Jordan Tailford, Danny Holdsworth and an own goal completed the scoring as Pack Horse maintained a three point gap from the promotion places.

In fourth place lie Northorpe United, who enjoyed a 4-0 win at Barr Street thanks to Kyle Douglas with two, Jiten Patel and Luke Naylor. Luke Newsome scored the only goal of the game as Birstall St Patricks won 1-0 against Taylor.

Division One leaders Heckmondwike Sports Club were held to a 1-1 draw at relegation threatened Bay Horse East Ardsley.

Mark Johnson netted for Bay Horse, with Ashton Vlahovic rescuing a point for the leaders.

White Horse missed the chance to close the gap as they lost 4-1 against third place Mount Pleasant, who scored through a Faisal Adam brace, plus strikes from Muhammad Omar and Raees Lorgat.

Jack Rogerson hit four goals as Birkenshaw Reserves won 10-2 at bottom side Hightown.

Tom Smith, Ashley Gibson, Steve Smith, Tom Ormondroyd, Phil Bell and Adam Lazenby bagged the others, with Chris Senior and Adrian Stowell replying for the hosts.

Battyeford Reserves enjoyed a comfortable 5-1 win at Batley Irish Nash thanks to Bobby Evans with two, Will Evans, James Nicholls and Guy Hollinshead.

Tim Whitehead hit Nash’s consolation.

Both matches in Division Two were mid-table affairs on Sunday. Sean Hodgson hit a hat-trick as Overthorpe Sports Club Reserves won 6-0 at home to Scholes Athletic.

Danny Fisher, Tristran Kennedy and Danny Marshal scored the others.

The game between Black Horse and Punch Bowl ended in a 2-2 draw. Mark Wigley and Kyle Smith struck for Black Horse, with Ryan Foster and Nathan Clarke replying for Punch Bowl.

In Division Three, leaders Dewsbury Westside suffered a 2-1 defeat at Gomersal West thanks to goals from James Simpson and Will Porteus.

Town Rangers closed the gap at the top to just two points after goals from Peter Rice, Scott Thornton and James Hutchinson saw them win 3-0 at Cobras.

This coming weekend sees Premier Division leaders Birkenshaw at home to second-bottom Mirfield Town.
