Birkenshaw climbed to the top of the Heavy Woollen Sunday League Premier Division following an 11-2 hammering of Battyeford.

Michael Smith, Joel Farrar and Luke Barker all netted hat-tricks for the leaders, whilst Ben Smith bagged a brace.

Jonny Mitchell and Luke Naylor replied for Battyeford.

Elliot Williams, Scott Ryan and Ross Ingham all netted as Thornhill Lees won 3-1 at promoted Oakwell Motel for whom Jordan Midwood struck.

Woodman Batley Carr and Millbridge WMC shared the points following a 1-1 draw. Adam Gray scored for Woodman, with Neil Griffiths earning Millbridge a share of the spoils.

Kristian Angus bagged five goals as Overthorpe Sports Club collected their first points of the season with a 7-4 win over AFC Chickenley.

Jamie Beever and Reece Patterson hit the others, with Chickenley replying through David O’Keefe and a Shaun McDaid hat-trick.

Mirfield Town are three points clear in the Championship after double-up Sam Atkinson, Anthony Owens, Gibril Bojang and Tom Wilks all netted in a 5-1 win over Taylor.

Mount Pleasant lie second after they edged out St John Fisher Reserves 4-3 thanks to a Muhammad Omar hat-trick, plus a strike from Mohammed Patel.

Fisher replied through a Jake Gibson double and a Conor Gissing effort. Dwayne Wilkinson fired four goals as Barr Street won 5-1 at Hartshead.

Jiten Patel hit the other as Barr Street climbed to fifth spot.

Birstall St Patrick’s enjoyed a 4-1 win over Marsh thanks to strikes from Scott Minto, Tom Williams, Matthew Orme and Declan Dawson.

Town Rangers lead the way in Division One by a single point following their 7-1 victory at Overthorpe Sports Club Reserves.

James Huthinson led the way with four goals, whilst Peter Rice, Scott Thornton and Richard Boustead also found the net.

Bay Horse East Ardsley lie in second spot after two-goal Stephen Day, Mark Pickersgill, Robert Vickers and Karl Nightingale all scored in a 5-2 win over Navigation.

Battyeford Reserves had Nigel Saddington, Matty Evans and John Bruce to thank as they sneaked to a 3-2 win over previously unbeaten Deighton WMC whose Chris Madigan and Paul Gledhill both struck.

Elsewhere, Clifton Rangers won 5-2 against The Yorkshireman.

Max Vernon struck four goals as Six Lane Ends registered their first win of the season with a 9-0 thrashing of Snowdon.

Dean Burton grabbed a hat-trick and Ryan Burton a brace as the side climbed to fifth.

Batley Irish Nash drew 3-3 with near neighbours Batley Celtics.

Anton Macfarlane, Gareth Richardson and Tom Macfarlane netted for Nash, with Dave Barlow, with a brace, and Danny Engledow replying for Celtics.

Coming up this weekend Millbridge WMC could go joint top of the Premier Division with a home win against Overthorpe Sports Club, who will be confident after picking up their first win of the season.

In the Championship, Hartshead face a tough task in search of their first points of the campaign as they travel to second placed Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant could go level on points with leaders Mirfield Town.
