County Sunday Cup: Ferrybridge book place in County Cup semi-finals

FERRYBRIDGE Progressive booked their place in the County Sunday Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 victory against Claro League visitors Sherwood.

Joshua Barratt and Danny Middleton both bagged doubles to book a date against either West Bowling or Belle Isle WMC whose quarter-final was postponed.

St John Fisher Old Boys sealed their place in the last four with a 2-0 win at Wakefield Sunday league outfit King George.

Goals from Rob Hiscox and Rob Bordman both netted to seal a semi-final clash against Oakenshaw or HT Sports whose last eight tie was also postponed.

AFC Bramley marched into the Sunday Trophy semi-finals with a 3-2 triumph at home to Whitkirk Wanderers who blew a 2-0 lead.

Goals from Ash Hoddel and Oliver Mallinson had Whitkirk in control but Bramley came roaring back through efforts from

Lewis Mawson, Mikey O’Hanlon and Scott Barlow.

Bramley will play either Queen or Sky Bet whose quarter-final was postponed on Saturday, as was the eight clashes between FC Walkers Hounds and Linthwaite, and Steel Bangle Spartans and Wellington Westgate.
